D.T.R.A. MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

Membership in the Dirt Truck Racers Association, Inc. (D.T.R.A.) includes eligibility for the

2008 points fund, voting rights in the membership and eligibility to serve on the Association’

Board or committees. The cost of the membership is $25.00 for a General Membership and

$75.00 for a Driver, Owner or Driver/Owner memberships ($50.00 if paid before Feb. 1, 2008).

You must be a member to race in any D.T.R.A. event.

and accept the conditions of becoming a member of the D.T.R.A. which are set out on the reverse side of this

D.T.R.A. Application Rules, Regulations and Release

I do agree, by signing this D.T.R.A. Membership Application, that I will abide by all rules and regulations established by the D.T.R.A. including but not limited to the following:

1. I have, or will, familiarized myself with all the D.T.R.A. rules and regulations, including truck specifications and safety rules, and I specifically agree to abide by those rules.

2. If I am a driver member, I agree that I shall be the sole spokesperson for the truck I am racing and the crew that is assisting me at any particular race event. I understand that I am responsible for the conduct of my crew and for compliance with all rules.

3. If I am a driver member, agree that it is my burden to establish that I have complied with all rules and regulations and I understand that violation of a rule may result in a fine, suspension or loss of points.

4. If I am a truck owner, I agree to use all required stickers, decals and patches.

5. I agree that all decisions of D.T.R.A. Officials rulings or decisions regarding the rules made at the race track are final. If the ruling involves an interpretation of DTRA Rules, the ruling at the track is final; however, the ruling may be appealed in writing within 3 days to the Board of the D.T.R.A. for purposes of future race events. Any appeal decision is final. I agree to accept those rulings and waive any further right of appeal. In the event I sue the D.T.R.A. regarding any final ruling, I agree to pay all the costs of litigation that the D.T.R.A. may incur, including attorney fees. I agree and understand that any ruling by a promoter or promoter’s official at any DTRA sanctioned event is final.

6. I agree to release all advertising and promotional rights to my name, truck and likeness to the D.T.R.A. for the purposes of promoting dirt truck racing.

7. I understand that all points, and point awards that are earned are the property of the driver.

8. I understand and agree that there is no express or implied warranty of safety resulting from publication or compliance with the D.T.R.A. rules and that the rules are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are not a guarantee against injury or death to participants or others. I hereby expressly release D.T.R.A. and any of its representatives from any and all claims that may arise from my participation in any event sanctioned by the Association.
